With improvements in telecom technology, it has now become possible to contact any part of the globe through the mobile or landline telephone. As a result, the number of telephone calls made has increased by many folds. The number of long distance callers has also increased enormously. Of course there was a hitch and that is the cost. Long distance when made from mobile or land landline would cost the purse too much. It is most uneconomical.
With the introduction of Phone Card, this hitch has been removed and now all long distance callers just buy a Phone Card because; it quite cost effective. Savings could be even up to 80%.
These are prepaid tariff plans. The company collects the value of the card in advance and for every call made by the purchaser, the balance in the card is deducted. It is very easy to purchase it. Just walk into your favorite coffee club or petrol bunk, your grocery shop, bar etc and buy it. It can be bought online too. In fact, buying it online is much economical because the caller will have numerous calling company and each company offering various tariff plans to choose from. This gives him wide range of options from which he can make his choice.
At the same time buying online has one more advantage. There is no need to walk into the next shop to buy it. He can buy it while at home, office or even while travelling; if he has his laptop with him. After buying, the calling company mails his card and he can take the printout. It is just as simple as it appears.
